Framing Text (Read Before the Tale)
We all deal with First Contacts in our lives, but we rarely find something so alien that we cannot relate to it. First Contacts are dangerous, for they bring unexpected and significant change, to both sides of the contact. Are we well met along our course? After contact, what happens in the time Until We Meet Again?
Location of the Tale
A ceremonial festival site, next to a landing pad, on Gennai Prime.
Props
The following props may be useful:
- Three stunners (Captain P€nd€r, Lieutenant Lem, Corwyn)
- Extension cords, to simulate the battery cable (all)
- A rotating alarm light (Djenni Rhater)
GM Notes

References
Will Fergus wrote the first draft of a Tale called An Unconventional Introduction for Across the Sea of Stars. It didn't get finished, but stayed in the back of Jeff's head. As Jeff and Jordan were working on Journey, this variant of Will's brilliant idea jumped fully-formed, in all its horror, into Jeff's skull. His therapy is getting it down into bits, with Jordan's help.
Almost all of Will's original text has been used directly this material, mostly unchanged. Will reviewed the result, liked it, and approved its inclusion in the game. And there was much rejoicing!
While Will's original title was still appropriate, the pun in Until We Meet Again was just too tasty for Jeff to resist.
