Your story
You are staring into oblivion and do not know what's on the other side, and it terrifies you. You've always been nervous, but the pressure of the ticking clock is not helping the situation. Maybe it's just how you are by design, or maybe it's just how different you feel from everyone around you. You never felt good enough, never felt like you really could ever belong to a Cohort. You want to though. You want to so badly. It eats away at you every waking moment, and you are desperately trying to escape the grasp this fear has on you.
You're an idiot for even considering ascending to Abstract Existence. You wouldn't be in so much psychological distress if you didn't, but here you are. You know the solution is to book an appointment with your therapist, but something is stopping you. This whole ordeal with existing Abstractly seems like an incredibly easy out. An existence beyond physical or virtual comprehension could be amazing, so amazing it's almost too good to be true. It's possible that there's just nothing, and you'll be literally nothing, which is certainly not what you want ‐ but you can never know until you try.
And as much as you'd love to try, you are afraid. You want to believe there's something for you in the Universe, and you'd love to try that too. You just aren't sure of anything right now, and it's really starting to get down to the wire.
You're glad that your friend Jourdain seems to be struggling with the same thing to some degree. You're sure they'll have some thoughts on this, they've always been less afraid than you. You imagine that your friends Tobor and Uv'ols will be opinionated too, which should be helpful. They probably have good arguments. You're not sure what Nerve-7 will think, but who knows?
Maybe you're just looking for an excuse to stay. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, but also nothing lost. You have fifteen minutes to decide which one it's going to be.
Goals:
- Decide whether or not you want to ascend to Abstract Existence.
- Make sure your friends decide of their own accord.
