Your story

Despot Keer-û is certifiably mad at this point. Despot Vannov-û believes they are rational, but they are not. You are the only one of the three of you who are still performing at optimal levels. (No you're not. Yes, I am. Oh, shut up.)

The Iron Bender's Fire... is caught at the edge of the gamma and X-ray flux from beyond Ryak-Ř. This is why several of the ship indicators have gone from green to yellow to red. Some are about to turn black. (And then eelex, followed by ultraviolet, kes, and paisley.)

Get a grip. (Not going to happen.)

The myths spoke of Un, the Foul Breathed One, a Ryak-Ř who walked the sky and ate the stars. This is clear evidence that Ryak-Ř was visited by alien beings during the early Confused Times. They have returned, just in time, to save the last of the Ryak-Ř. (Save me! Save me!)

Any sufficiently advanced tech sure the keef looks like godhood. They can see where your sensors are blind. They can walk where your corridors are flooded by gamma rays. They have knowledge beyond compare. You'd always had doubt before, but now you're an Un-believer!
