Your story

Favorite Scene: It was the end, when you'd assembled the rag-tag fleet of Star Pirates, Rogue Magnetar Combat Nuns, and Celestial Geese -- and warped to the Numinous Point. You were stunned to find yourself in the jaws of a trap, outgunned and outmaneuvered by the Random One! And then, Random One revealed themselves to be your long lost true love Love True -- just in time to spin both Fleets around to fire upon the double-crossing Marauders of Joyous Treachery, Debauchery, and Every Other Cherry. In the choreographed dance of Space Combat, Love True saved you, you saved Love True, and your Boon Companions managed to connect you to the Truly Alien Device, to rescue the trapped Celestial Geese and freeze the Cherries in Ice-9, winning the day.

You were a celebrated writer, dramatist, and performer on Ashtar Unique when the Fleet arrived fourteen hundred years ago. You jumped at the chance to tell your stories to new people, and to learn the stories of others from across galaxies. You're freep in these circles, but Sonia/2B is a freeping dimension beyond you.

Having several Ashtaran lifetimes to learn and create, you devoted yourself to the study of Sonia/2B and their virtual worlds. Your contextual analysis of their works, your skill at revealing the nuances in their storylines, and your sheer joy evident in your reviews brought you to Sonia/2B's attention.

You were thrilled when you were invited to meet Sonia/2B. They rarely spoke with others, unless they were collaborating on an effort. Collaborators never spoke about Sonia/2B; one mistake could end any work with Sonia/2B. (Irregular Tesselation v12.4 was one example.) You met Sonia/2B in the virtual, speaking to an avatar. They asked if you would test some of the experiences before they were opened to the public. Of course, you said yes. The partnership lasted three centuries, until, abruptly, Sonia/2B left for Erquon U. (It was Sonia/2B's longest known collaboration.) There was no warning, little good-bye, and still the freeping avatar. You never met in the real.

Until six weeks ago, you hadn't realized how lost and wasted your last eleven hundred years have been. No other VR designer even comes within light years of Sonia/2B, and you've been to all of them, including Painting Planetscape's painfully dull bits and Irregular Tesselation v12.4's modest efforts, clearly influenced by collaboration with Sonia/2B.
